Self-knowledge is one of the most underused assets in high performance. Not as a therapeutic exercise. As a genuine competitive advantage. The performer who knows which part of themselves is in the driving seat; and can choose who drives; operates at a different level entirely.
Most high performers are being driven by a combination of ambition, discipline and anxiety. The ambition and discipline built everything. The anxiety keeps it moving; but at a cost to sustainability, to relationships, to the capacity to enjoy what has been built.
The work here is about understanding which identities are running the performance; and whether that is by design or by default. It is about accessing the full range of who you are; so that you can bring the right version of yourself to what each moment actually requires.
Not less committed. Not less competitive. More conscious. More able to choose who shows up; and why.
